Hi ,

Can i use HP controller ( HP ProCurve MSM760 Controller ) for Cisco LAP (AIR-CAP3602I-N-K9) over internet ?

I am checking that Cisco LAP try to find CISCO-CAPWAP-CONTROLLER which seems to be cisco proprietary.

Please suggest .

No, It will not work.

Cisco AP is only recommanded to use only with Cisco WLC.

HI Puneet

At the momemt I dont have any doucmnet relate dto this but you must convience to your Enduser that this is not the way to implement WLAN.

Better to to go with one vendor otherwise everyday you will have somekinf of problems because of compatibility issues.

If i will get any docs related to it, will posts here.

Basically what everyone has already said. The alternative would be to run the AP as an IOS Autonomous unit negating the need for a WLC.
