Upgrade issue with 5508 controller

Hi,

I have a 5508 wireless controller running version 6.0.199.4 (the image installed when the device was shipped) and I am trying to install by tftp version 7.3.112.0

The issue is when using tftpd32 gets to 82% transfered then fails with the error "% Error: Code file transfer failed - Error while writing output file"

Any ideas? (Yes, I've rebooted my controller and re-downloaded the file)

Try using 3CDeamon. That's what I use with no issues. Also verify the md5 when you download images. That could be the issue also.

I think you also need to jump to 7.0 code before going to 7.3 ..

You need to go 7.0 before you jump here are the release notes

Good catch George!

You should always read the release notes so you know what's broke:). Like if you have 1142's you shouldn't use 7.4. If you have 3600's don't use 7.3:)
