Wireless using a none Native VLAN

Hello,

We have a Wireless solution that currently has 10 AP's (1242's).

They connect via Trunk ports on each local switch and everything works fine.

However, moving forward we are running out of addresses on the Management

VLAN (native) and have to install an additional 30 AP's.

I would like to remove the AP's off of VLAN 1 and still have them communicate

however whenever I do this (change to VLAN 2 in the wireless config) we loose

IP connectivity.

Any ideas how we can configure the switches to allow communication

between the AP's and not use the native VLAN (vlan1) on a Trunk port?

for the record we also use a WLSE solution.

Does anyone know!

We use WDS and will soon go over the 60 AP's supported by WDS per master access point.

How do I configure this guys/girls? It seems that everything works great on the native vlan its just when you come to move to a seperate vlan as the solution grows we seem to run into trouble.

I really would appreciate any input.

What you want to do is to set the native VLAN on the trunk port to the VLAN that you are using for management on the access point. So if Native is 1 and you want to use 2, set the trunk port with the command:

switchport trunk native vlan 2

That should do the trick.
