ce 500 switch roaming issues for wireless clients

i am working at a site with 4 1230 aironet access points & 1 ce 500 switch , there is no encryption / no authentication configured , all the devices are in the same vlan , the client devices are able to get the dhcp addresses & they get registered with the access points but as soon as the client device roams from one ap to another the netwotk connetivity is lost , a cisco documentation states to get the smartports configured as switches but that doesnt work at the same time bcos we have no encryption / authentication configured WDS doesnt come into picture , when i replace this ce 500 with a 2950 evrything seems to be perfect , please help because i have to deploy this network using a ce 500.

Try to configure the AP port as switch which is also a trunk port.

Thanks for ur reply the problem has been taken care of by configuring the smartports as others and getting the arp inspection disabled
