Check your CCA value - if set to default 62 - you must set it to something other than default. Set to 61 or 60. There is an open caveat on that issue - has to do with noise signal ratio or something like that.

When the bridge link is active, what is the signal strength to the non-root bridge?

Click "Associations"

Click the MAC Address of the non-root bridge.

Go down and look for "Latest signal strength"

If it's really low, you need to realign. How far apart are the bridges and what kind of antenna are you using?

I'm using two bridges 350 with yagi 13,5 dBi antennas. The distance is 1,5 Km.

The antennas is just primary (right).

Now I can't see the signal strength, but Tuesday I'll see it.

In your opinion, why the disconnections are periodically, with this kind of regolarity?

Thanks

I have a similar intermittent link issue with 1242APs used as RootAP/Workgroup bridge combination. The user does not perceive the Radio link going down and up, because the recovery is pretty fast.

As can been seen in the logs below, the reason is max retries exceeded. Is there a way, we can improve the situation? or is this normal?

Moreover, my link tests show higher SNR a max of 254 in one direction. The other way around, it is low.. How do i interpret these results...?

Any help is appreciated.

Apr 10 12:56:56.720: %DOT11-6-ADD: Interface Dot11Radio0, Station 0001.02dc.c97b

Associated to Parent 0014.1ced.367e

Apr 10 12:56:59.350: %DOT11-4-MAXRETRIES: Packet to client 0014.1ced.367e reache

d max retries, removing the client

Apr 10 12:56:59.635: %DOT11-6-ADD: Interface Dot11Radio0, Station 000d.562b.d7cb

Associated to Parent 0014.1ced.367e

Apr 10 12:56:59.649: %DOT11-6-ADD: Interface Dot11Radio0, Station 000d.562c.0932

Associated to Parent 0014.1ced.367e

Apr 10 12:56:59.658: %DOT11-6-ADD: Interface Dot11Radio0, Station 0001.02dc.c97b

Associated to Parent 0014.1ced.367e

Apr 10 13:03:05.088: %DOT11-4-MAXRETRIES: Packet to client 0014.1ced.367e reache

d max retries, removing the client

Apr 10 13:03:05.088: %DOT11-6-DISASSOC: Interface Dot11Radio0, Deauthenticating

Station 0014.1ced.367e Reason: Previous authentication no longer valid

Apr 10 13:03:10.295: %DOT11-6-ASSOC: Interface Dot11Radio0, Station NewGate 0014

.1ced.367e Reassociated KEY_MGMT[NONE]

Apr 10 13:03:10.309: %DOT11-6-ADD: Interface Dot11Radio0, Station 000d.562b.d7cb

Associated to Parent 0014.1ced.367e

Apr 10 13:03:10.319: %DOT11-6-ADD: Interface Dot11Radio0, Station 000d.562c.0932

Associated to Parent 0014.1ced.367e

Apr 10 13:03:10.325: %DOT11-6-ADD: Interface Dot11Radio0, Station 0001.02dc.c97b

Associated to Parent 0014.1ced.367e

Apr 10 13:42:44.805: %DOT11-4-MAXRETRIES: Packet to client 0014.1ced.367e reache

d max retries, removing the client

Apr 10 13:42:44.805: %DOT11-6-DISASSOC: Interface Dot11Radio0, Deauthenticating

Station 0014.1ced.367e Reason: Previous authentication no longer valid

Apr 10 13:42:44.901: %DOT11-6-ASSOC: Interface Dot11Radio0, Station NewGate 0014

.1ced.367e Reassociated KEY_MGMT[NONE]

Apr 10 13:42:44.927: %DOT11-6-ADD: Interface Dot11Radio0, Station 000d.562c.0932

Associated to Parent 0014.1ced.367e

Apr 10 13:42:44.932: %DOT11-6-ADD: Interface Dot11Radio0, Station 0001.02dc.c97b

Associated to Parent 0014.1ced.367e

FAIR (24 % retries) Time Strength(dBm) SNR SNR Retries

msec In Out In Out In Out

      Sent : 100, Avg 5 - 91 - 92 3 7 Tot: 11 38

Lost to Tgt: 0, Max 18 - 90 - 90 8 254 Max: 4 4

Lost to Src: 0, Min 2 - 94 - 95 0 0

Rates (Src/Tgt) 2Mb 75/75 5.5Mb 25/25

Linktest Done

Link test results from the AP at the other end configured as Workgroup bridge.

Linktest Done

FAIR (16 % retries) Time Strength(dBm) SNR SNR Retries

msec In Out In Out In Out

      Sent : 100, Avg 3 - 90 - 90 8 5 Tot: 26 6

Lost to Tgt: 0, Max 9 - 88 - 89 255 9 Max: 4 4

Lost to Src: 0, Min 2 - 93 - 92 0 1

Rates (Src/Tgt) 5.5Mb 100/100

Linktest Done
