Hello Experts,

From my understanding "AIR-ACC15-N-CAP" is for the unused antenna port on Wireless Access Points

(especially when using 3 element antenna), the un-used N-connector will have to be covered by "AIR-ACC15-N-CAP"?

What are the ramification if we don't cover the unused antenna port with AIR-ACC15-N-CAP and rather go with the default plastic cap that comes with the delivered wireless Access points (AP1572EAC/AP1552E)?

Its a best practice and recommended approach to cover with AIR-ACC15-N-CAP=. The reason behind it is that post deployment of the AP - environment parameters will affect to that unused port and in some case it will get damaged as well if outdoor environment is haphazard (ex. chemical factory, railway yard, etc).

In this case an antenna gain will be affected and attenuation will increase.

Is it confirmed the case that the RF energy will be lost through unused antenna port if not covered with AIR-ACC15-N-CAP?
