I would like to ask you if the Access Point model AIR-AP1832I-A-K9 could be configured as standalone, I mean, not using a wireless controller.

looks like yes is the answer , when I check the download section there is a lightweight version available for download which would enable it to be standalone , but you will need to convert it first the AP

That model supports Mobility Express which is a built-in controller. This model along with the 2802 and 3802, do not support autonomous mode.

Sorry that's my bad got It back to front I though the lightweight was the autonomous been a while since I worked on Cisco wireless , thanks Scott +5

Not your fault. I think Cisco moving to ME has caused issue with many customers wanted my am autonomous AP and couldn't.
