Check the SKU of the 2702s.

Check the SKU of the 2702s. My guess is you have the new universal AP SKUs that require provisioned for the correct regulatory domain for the area they are being used in using the Cisco AirProvison app for iOS, Android or Windows phone. The model number will be something like 2702i-UX.

You can find more info here. http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/controller/technotes/8-0/AP_Regulatory_Domain_DG/b_universal_AP_regulatory_domain_DG.html

I assume you got them through the Mobility Express Bundle? I did the same thing, and to be honest I haven't gotten the AirProvision app to work yes, so I am frustrated I can't use the AC APs to their potential yet.

I have a post in discussions about this, and so far no help. https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/12440136/universal-aps-has-anyone-gotten-them-work-yet

It's not insufficient inline

It's not insufficient inline power. It is because the AP is not primed for any regulatory domain.

As it states in the document I linked "You will see the APs LED blinking red and green even though the AP has obtained the IP address and joined the controller. This is because there is no regulatory domain set on the AP, and it has not been primed with the correct domain."

My APs are doing the same thing because I can not get the AirProvison app to work.

See Matthew's posting below and link to other discussion on same trouble.

Note

You will see the APs LED blinking red and green even though the AP has obtained the IP address and joined the controller. This is because there is no regulatory domain set on the AP, and it has not been primed with the correct domain.

To check if the AP is not already primed for a specific country domain, click the AP Name, and under Advanced tab, the ‘Regulatory Domains’ shows –UX for both radios. Note that the ‘Country Code’ also shows ‘UX’ because the AP is not primed with the correct country domain.

Hope this helps.

I had this problem too

I had this problem too getting some new AIR-AP2702I-UXK9 APs fully operation. They would join the AIR-CT2504 controller just fine, but only the 2.4 GHz radios would work, plus the light would constantly flash red / green / blank.

The solution was to "prime" them using AirProvision. After doing this, they came up with the correct country code and the flashing lights went away. Here's the guide:

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/access_point/ux-ap/guide/uxap-mobapp-g.html

One big gotcha - make sure you download the Cisco AirProvision app, not just the Cisco Wireless App. It's ideal to have the AP set to factory defaults when doing this, and also I'd also recommend doing one AP at a time just to help the troubleshooting process.

I wish the question has not been answered because this thread has been created in inappropriate forum. So relevant experts are missed them, unless they found them as random hit.

So please - either enter a discussion in appropriate community, or create new one.

This question is still marked "unanswered". I haven't seen any off-topic questions.

I think this is a very confusing scenario for administrators because they're not used to "priming" (or registering) hardware in order to get it operational. Cisco really should place a sticker or flyer on the APs to alert the installer that this is a requirement.

I spent several hours thinking the blinking lights was cosmetic, then realized 5.0 Ghz wasn't working. Thankfully I found this thread, otherwise it would have been days of frustration. I contacted our reseller and they had no idea what I was talking about.
