Hello.

I have several AIR-LAP1252AG-E-K9 all working via PoE. Last week we had problems with electricity and coincidently several AP stopped

working.

When I connect an AP to a PoE switch or to an power supply all leds turn red and I cannot see any output when connected via console cable.

Anyone had the same problem? It seems to me that they are dead.

Thanks in advance,

Joao Ribau

If you don't see anything when you console into the AP, then I would assume it is fried and get an RMA if you have support. I have seen this, but only during a lightning strike.

Sent from my iPhone

Hello Scott.

Actually the problems with electricity were due to lightning stike

Thanks for your help,

Best Regards,

Joao Ribau

Wow... didn't expect that. Well this is the thing, my client had to have a cable team come back in a ground the racks, etc. Prior to this, they experiensed another lightning strike which took out a switch and couple more AP's. They had an old chimmy stack that always got hit.

Hi Scott,

I'm having the same issue, I would like to know if there is any information about this behavior on the cisco website, for me is really weird if the AP is fried why all leds are on red light, isn't supposed to be off at all?, I'll be waiting for your comments.
regards,

Alberto B.

All leds in red is a Boot

All leds in red is a Boot loader error that means DRAM memory test failure. Documentation on: http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/access_point/1250/installation/guide/1250HIG_TD-Book-Wrapper/125h_c4.pdf

So, RMA is the solution if you have support.

Rgds.
