Hello People

I am currently doing a deployment using 2504 WLC ,10 lightweight ap and 30 converted autonomous to

lightweight ap.Kindly state

How many access points(lightweight or automous converted to lightweight) in connected HREAP mode can be supported by the 2504 WLC?
How many access points(lightweight or automous converted to lightweight)in Standalone HREAP mode can be supported by the 2504 WLC?

Both are fully supported up to the max license. If your 2504 has a 50 license all 50 can be hreap. Also know as flex ..

The interesting thing is standalone. I have a deployment where the customer has 100 hreap standalone aps deployed and working. But on a 25 license on the controller. So only 25 call back home. When he needs to mange the other 75 he shuts off the routes to the wlc from the 25 so another 25 can join and he can mod their configs. Since standalone don't require a direction connection unless 802.1X is used ..

It depends on the AP license you have. On the main GUI home page it will show you above the picture of the WLC. Or else you can issue a show sysinfo from the CLI and you can see the info there also.

This sounds interesting. My company has 44 Sat trucks which are currently using Automatous APs since our deployment test using Flex didn't work out well. Does Cisco has a software package for managing Automatous APs?
