wap351 vlan dhcp issue

We recently installed 5 wap351's in a cluster.

When devices connect to the main ssid (using the main vlan) they connect fine.

We are trying to setup the guest ssid using a 2nd vlan.

When devices try to connect to the guest ssid (using the 2nd vlan) they dont get a dhcp address, and they cant connect.

My question is, what subnet would the 2nd vlan be using, and where would it get its dhcp range from? I dont see anywhere to configure this.

Can you verify that the other VLANs' DCHP mode is set to DCHP Server and that for each IP address, port based authentication is enabled?

I have found a documents on the knowledge base that may help you in the right direction.

From the link you provided, it appears we will need additional hardware to be able to provide dhcp for an additional vlan, as there is nowhere on the wap351 to configure this.

You don't need separate hardware for that. You can use ip helper to direct traffic of different vlans.

Can you attach your topology and devices in use , so i can have a look to better guide you.

The 5 wap351's are connected through port 1, to unmanaged switches, to a Cisco UC520 that serves as the gateway and dhcp server.

VLAN1 gets its dhcp addresses from that device.

We want VLAN2 to use dhcp addresses from a separate subnet.

Is UC520 working as WLC or your using wap351 as stand alone and using UC520 for gateway and dhcp only ?
