explains how to use a cisco access point to capture wireless packets.

the AP is configured in wireless capture mode and these packets are sent through the WLC to a configured IP-address/Port(wiresharkPC) where they can be analyzed.

drawback is, this AP needs to be a dedicated to wireless sniffing, and so the setup is somewhat "static" yo need to replace the AP to monitor in different locations.

is this what you are looking for?
