Any two antennas will work, the "diversity" feature cycles between the antennas, looking for the stronger signal (to help overcome multipath distortion).

If you aim the two antennas in two different directions (like the North side of a bulding and the South side of a building), only one antenna is active at a time ... throughput and performance will suffer.

If you use two patch antennas, and you are really looking for "diversity" then locate them at least 9" apart facing the same direction (patch antennas are semi-directional / hemispheric).

Good Luck

Scott

Do you HAVE to use diversity antennas to use the diversity feature on 1200AP's? Or can you use, for example, 2 seperate patch antennas.
