AP Auth vs. MFP

In the wireless Lan controller 4.x, the AP Authentication Policy dialog allows either AP Authentication OR Management Frame Protection. However the documentation doesn't seem to provide any clarification on when to use one versus the other.

Does anyone have documentation on this?

If you want to add a new template, choose Add Template from the Select a command drop-down menu and click GO. To make modifications to an existing template, click to select a MAC address in the AP Base Radio MAC column. The AP Authentication Policy Template appears (see Figure 9-14), and the number of controllers the template is applied to automatically populates.

I would also like to know which of the 2 alternatives is recommended? What circumstances would indicate a preference for one over the other?

Also, what is the reason that these 2 options are mutually exclusive?
