topic 350 WGB detected as Repeater not Bridge in Wireless

A recently purchased 1200AP shows a 350WGB as a repeater and not a bridge in the logs. Is this normal behaviour ? Also for a noobie like me, whats the difference between IOS and VXworks ?

What are the software version of AP1200 and 350WGB.

When Cisco acquired Aironet (the company), all Aironet product were running VxWorks (an development tool). Then, Cisco made a decision to convert all Aironet product from VxWorks to IOS (i.e. the operating system running on other Cisco routers and switches). So far, only AP1200 and AP350 are converted from VxWorks to IOS.
