topic WDS AP Limitation in Wireless

I read that a subnet can only have one WDS AP per subnet, but that it can only support roughly 30 AP's. We will eventually have about 150 AP's running on the same subnet. Is there a way to get around this limitation without having to further subnet our wireless network? Thanks.

c,

With a dedicated WDS (no client associations) the suggested max is 60. This will scale higher in future releases. You are correct that you can have only one active WDS at the time.

Note that the limit is not hard coded - you might be able to sueak in a few more than 60.

With 150 APs you will need to subnet but you might get by with 2 subnets.

L3 roaming is going o get a boost soon so that won't be much of an obstacle, at least from a roaming perspective.
