That is pretty much what i was expecting. I also have a 2504 wireless controller so I will disable the built in AP in the 891 and use it as a wired router, then use the 2504 for extended wireless.

Would that be a better solution?

Guys, I'm looking for a way to get more coverage area out of my 891w. Are there antennas that I could locate elsewhere in my facility or better yet, connect up an AIR-CAP access point to it?

Not possible.

Not possible.

1. The antennas are dual-band antennas. Not easy to find a replacement;

2. Getting a STRONGER antenna could/would mean the wireless client can hear the AP but the AP may/will NOT be able to hear the the wireless client thus resulting in poor wireless connection between the AP and any wireless client.

The best method is to disable the built-in AP and get a wired AP instead.
