topic Since software 8.0 the in Wireless

Since software 8.0 the behavior got changed to match with the IEEE/IETF standards (see bug CSCui22330 for more information).

However, depending on your QoS model you don't need to use the 802.1p values anymore since 8.0. Just use the profiles without the markings specified and trust DSCP values everywhere within your infrastructure. There are some things you need to know about this, please look at this great video from Jerome Henry explaining this much better than I can 🙂

Please rate useful posts... 🙂

Wireless QOS

2504 controller running 8.0.120.0

On the QOS profile for platinum, when I am trying to select wired QOS protocol type to 802.1P, the conversion value I get is 5 (earlier code it was 6).

Questions : My understanding earlier was since 802.11e mapping of 6 corresponds to 802.1P mapping of 5, so When it shows 6 controller will convert the 6 to 5 when sending frame from controller to Switch automatically. However now it shows 5 so does it mean controller will now convert 5 to corresponding 802.1P value of 4 when sending to switch. seems like I am missing something here.

I rate all useful posts.
