You might have to enable passive clients or else use mac reservations for DHCP so that the printer keeps the same address.

This is another thread with the same sort of issue:

https://supportforums.cisco.com/thread/2263693?tstart=0

Thanks,

Scott

Help out other by using the rating system and marking answered questions as "Answered"

mmm... what do you mean with passive clients?.. the other case is using Flexconnect and it says that with ip dynamic address wireless printer does not work too. I think that case is similar but with diferent conditions

Well with FlexConnect, passive clients don't work... the issue is that your client may not be responding to the AP properly and sits there silently. The only work around is to either use dhcp mac reservation or maybe a static arp on the router.

Thanks,

Scott

Help out other by using the rating system and marking answered questions as "Answered"

I am agree with you Scott, problem is that the customer will think that Cisco is not so good...this because printer was working with a cheap autonomos access point ... 😕

I hear ya... but with the cheap AP, you don't have solid roaming and the other enterprise features. Its just something you need to either play around with and try to get it to work or use dhcp. You can always open a TAC case and see what they have.

Thanks,

Scott

Help out other by using the rating system and marking answered questions as "Answered"
