Hi

I have a WLC5508 and are using the management interface as a AP mgmt interface. I want the WLC to be the dhcp relay for the AP .

The AP is on the same Layer2 vlan as the WLC mgmt interface

The DHCP server is on another vlan, and i am pointing to the DHCP server adress in the interface setup on the Management. Wil the ap get an ip adress based on this setup ?

Regards

Even

Hi,

The WLC will come into picture only when the AP grabbed an IP.. the switchport on which the AP is connected, should be mapped to the respective VLAN and this will do the job for you so that the AP wil get an IP, after this the AP tries to find the WLC..

Lemme know if this answered ur question!!

Regards

Surendra
