      <title>Port Settings When Plugging Wireless Controller into Switch</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;The port on my switch that I have the wireless controller plugged into, does that port need to be setup for trunking?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi Gulf,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;It depends ...&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;1) What type of controller do you have ?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; A.If you have a WiSM then you can only do LAG on the controllers which means you would need to truck / etherchannel in the swicthes&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; B. If you have controllers (210x,440x,5508) then you can either LAG or not lag. Which means you can trunk with or without etherchannels.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;your best option is to LAG with etherchannels.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
