DTPC on Autonomous AP

Hello,

I can't seem to get DTPC working on an Autonomous AP.

AP 1240 2.4Ghz radio running 12.4(10b)JDA (I didn't find any related bugs in bug toolkit)

Config:

I got a 7921 associated phone connected to the callmanager.

On the phone I go to: Settings > Device Information > WLAN > TX Power is 5 dBm, I would expect it to be at 14dBm

I did a Wireshark capture with AirPcap and I'm looking at the advertised beacon:

Start Channel: 1, Channels: 11, Max TX Power: 26 dBm <<< shouldn't it be 14 dBm?

this is strange, I'm going to try a different IOS image

HTML into your AP. Go to Network Interfaces > Click on the Radio > Settings Tab.

Change the settings for CCK Transmitter Power and/or OFDM Transmitter Power.

The 7921 phone can throttle back the tx power if the current rx signal is strong. This is an algorithm to prevent unnecessary noise in other areas and to conserve the battery.

You can see that you have a strong signal.

Signal Strength : -51 dBm Connected for : 2942 seconds

Try stepping a bit away from the AP (i.e. -67 dBm) and you should see the correct value.
