I have cisco aironet 1100 series waps and some of the other tech use https to access them. We noticed on some of them they don't have the same password as using ssh or telnet. How can I change the https password to match? Or is there a command to make them all the same? thanks.

HI Josh,

Use this command:

enable secret 0 <YOUR secret=""></YOUR>

choose the secret same as your ssh password.

That should do it.

If you try to use "enable secret 5 <SECRET>" then the command expects an encrypted form of the secret, </SECRET>

also see this link:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk722/tk809/technologies_configuration_example09186a00805f029f.shtml

Hope it helps.

Regards

Dont forget to rate helpful posts.

That worked but one thing I noticed is that on some of my other aps they don't have the enable secret command but the passwords are the same either way.

Is there a way to just have one password configured?

I have compared the two configs side byside and don't see the difference. Thanks
