1310 firmware update

I need some assistance on upgrading the firmware on both sides of a 1310 series bridger REMOTELY.

1. Does the IOS upgrade automatically overwrite the config file?

2. Does the upgrade auto-restart the bridge or will it prompt for restart? If I'm accessing OVER the wireless connection I'll lose the connection until someone physically recycles the bridge.

ANy other caveats to firmware upgrade. I plan on upgrading to the latest version (12.3.8.x) from a 12.2.x.x version.

Hi,

The upgarde will not over write the Config file. But make sure you keep a copy of the configs.

Yes the upgarde will automatically power cycle the bridge and it will come up by itself. Normally it is advisable to do the upgrades connecting over the wire. You can always use the console into the bridge and upgrade the bridges.
