Yeah you are correct. It is mandatory for the repeaters to have 50% overlap with the root access point. Even though you may not find any errors on the repeater AP, the clients will not be able to transfer data if there is less than 50% overlap with the root.

Hi Everyone,

I have a current problem when a client will roam to a repeater AP and will lose layer3 connectivity. I am currently looking into the 50% overlapping coverage as the possible problem. I am able to access the repeater via telnet and http which tells me that this may not be the issue but I was wondering if for some reason this would affect clients moreso than the repeater.

Any advice is appreciated.
