Error Upgrading 1200AP :(

I am trying to upgrade a 1200 Series Access Point from 12.2(13)JA1 to the latest version on the Cisco site which I think is 12.3(2)JA.

When I try the upgrade via TFTP I get the following error:

"Upgrade error: Not enough room in flash."

Can anyone help as I have got all of my other 1200's upgraded and just have this one to go.

Check your flash first.

Do a "show flash". If there are crash files then they occupy a lot of space. Delete all crash files (if any) and see what happens with the upgrade. Or you can try a manual upgrade (copy tftp flash) from the CLI.

Wahoo!! Cheers for the help. The problem was that we had a problem with this AP from the start and it died when we originally upgraded it from vxWorks to IOS. To get the unit back we had to manually copy the new *.tar image to the unit and build it from scratch.

The problem I had this time was that I had forgotten to delete the original *.tar file from the flash so had a 3.5Mb file sitting there doing nothing but taking up all of the room.

As soon as I deleted this the upgraded went through with no problems.
