ACS 5.2 Authentication

Hi All

Does anyone know if there is a way to authenticate users using the SSID?

I was led to believe that you could use RADIUS IETF attribute 30 (Calling Station ID) but I'm not convinced this will work.

You can define the SSID. It's in the end user station area. Here is a link... Better than me trying to remember:)

I've seen this document - its very old using an old version of WLC code and the old ACS (probably version 4).

I need something that relates to ACS 5.2

It's the same. You need to define the end station filter using *SSID

Hi Scott

is the * crucial?

I've created an endpoint filter with DNIS matching the SSID name but I haven't used the *.

It's not working yet - hence the question.

Yes it is required. It's a wildcard for the Mac address.
