If you have the same subnet configured on both sides, and the bridges are associated and communicating then your problem is Spanning Tree on the Ethernet port. I had the same symptom the first time I setup two bridges, I found that Spanning Tree gets enabled by default on the Ether port and you have to disable it. It should work just fine then.

I am trying to configure two bridges to link two network together. I can ping One brdge from the other but cannot ping a system from one network to another.

Can the brdge be configured as a gateway?

What is the problem.

I’m afraid not. You’re going to need a router to router between the two networks.

The bridge cannot be configured as a gateway. I think the keyword here is "bridge". These devices only forward using layer 2 intelligence.

Tony
