Hello,

I have been searching high and low for an answer to this question but have got nowhere!

We are currently using a WLC with a WPA2 pre shared key for public internet access, we use the web authentication form to force people to enter there email address to acknowledge that they have read our terms and conditions of use before proceeding which works perfectly.

My question is can we remove the HTTPS requirement of this form so that peoples browsers don't show up the ugly SSL self signed errors as I don't want to have to purchase an SSL certificate for this.

Any help and advise would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

James

Hi,

the only current way to do that is to disable HTTPS completely on the controller. "Management" tab, "http/https" menu.

It also disables https for the management of your wlc (that's the drawback).

But only solution as of now.

Hope this helps.

Nicolas

===

Don't forget to rate answers that you find useful

Thanks, I saw that option and was hoping that wasn't my only option!!

I have a feeling I will be buying a certificate as I don't think we can remove HTTPS from the management interface due to PCI requiring all management traffic be encrypted with our devices.

Thanks for your help

James
