Hello Folks,

I am trying to configure two network on the same subnet. Currently, I have my service port on 10.10.70.102/24 network.

Now, I am trying to configure the "management" network to be on the same network as the service port with an IP of 10.10.70.103/24. However, the vWLC does not like the fact that I am trying to have two interface on the same subnet. How can I achieve this on a flat network? Am I forced to create another network? The error that I get when trying to do this is: "ip information conflicts with another interface wlc"

You cannot assign the same network IP to the service port and management port. ( In your case you trying to do it 10.10.70.102 & 103 in same /24 network)

Best practice is to have completely different supernet for Service Port and Management (ie if mgt is 10.x.x.x use service port in 192.168.x.x or 172.16.x.x range)

HTH
