Get a wireless site survey done properly.
Parking buildings are very difficult to install WiFi, particularly when cabling was not including during the construction phase, and one cannot afford to make a mistake.

Wifi Enclosed Parking Garage Structure

Hi,

I've been asked to deploy wireless in an enclosed parking garage structure (still open to environment elements though). It is 7 floors and it's your standard parking garage. This parking garage will be used for general use wifi, nothing too special. My first thought was to install 1562E AP's with patch antennas. The AP would mount to a concrete beam closer to the rear of a parked vehicle.

Any issues with this thinking? Any other suggestions? Also, would transmit power would be best to design to for this type of environment. I'm use to setting my transmit power to 14 dBm on 5 GHz (To accommodate mobile devices) and 8 dBm on 2.4 GHz.

Thanks
