Hi All

I start configuring cisco 3800 accesspoint i already configure the first one. first i install ME software on the access point and now it act as a controller what is the next step inorder to join the other APs in the controller. Do i have to install Mobility Express software on the rest APs i dint get the cisco confg guide useful at all please any help?

Enable DHCP option 43 so the APs can find the ME.

You also need to verify if the other AP’s are mobility express capable.

You do not other APs in ME mode (just leave it CAPWAP mode unless your order them with ME image). For simple verification, if you put all these AP on the same subnet as your ME AP, then they should go & register to your WLC running on ME AP
