as a workaround is this a fine solution. A solution via Gui and an "all" ap command would be nice 🙂

When an AP is joining it's primary WLC and gets it's tags assigned, is there any chance of syncing these AP definition to a secondary/backup wlc?

Even if both WLCs are identical configured regarding tags and policies, each AP that joined the primary WLC needs manually added the backup wlc. Otherwise in case of a failover, the AP will get default-tags, since that information is not (like the AP-Group) stored in the AP.

Hello,

Once configured on the primary WLC you need to save the tags on the AP using the following command:

ap name <AP name> write tag-config

If you move this AP and if tags exist on the N+1 WLC then AP will keep the configuration

Indeed. I know there's is something we are working on now to make it better as to what we currently have.
