topic FlexDFS features in Wireless

AP: 2800, 3800

WLC: 5520
OS: 8.5 or later

Feature: FlexDFS

Could you tell me if the wireless clients connected to AP 2800/3800 can avoid being disconnected from AP even when the radar is detected in primary channel when enabling FlexDFS in AP?

For instance, FlexDFS/Channel bonding is configured with "primary channel 100" and "secondary channel 104". Then, If the radar is detected in ch 100, does the left 104 immediately change into primary and newly ch 108 is bonded as a secondary channel and will AP keep connecting the wireless clients?

Thank you so much for your help.

Depends on how strong the interference is.
If the radar interference is very strong and very regular, the channel will be "blacklisted" by the controller.
If this is the case then channel bonding of 80- and 160 Mhz should be avoided.

If you have enabled DBS - Dynamic Bandwidth Selection, then with FlexDFS it should allow AP to use other available 20MHz channels
