PoE Medium Power

Hello.

I have this issue. I connected many AIR-AP1852I-E-K9 and AIR-AP1852E-E-K9 (they need 20.9W) to different switches that provide 15.4W so I saw "PoE/Medium Power (15.4 W)" on WLC. To provide what my APs need I used a power injector but even after that the WLC says "PoE/Medium Power (15.4 W)".
I tried three power injectors... Cisco, TP-Link and Maxi-Link. Still no joy.

Any idea what is going on?

Hi

Where did you find that they need 20.9W?

As per the AP datasheet, they support both standard 802.3at (25.5 W) or 802.3af (15.4 W). According to your description, you are using 802.3af power injector.

I have those AP connected in switches just fine.

-If I helped you somehow, please, rate it as useful.-
