do you refer to blocking rogue access points? (access points that are out of your control)

the WLC has an option for rogue access point containment.

be aware!!! there may be legal issues when doing this on the wireless network

you cannot block wlans that your neighbor company uses !!!

of course you have more rights to block rogue access points to connect to you wired network

(you may block those lan ports)

i want to block all the SSID ,hotspot's that are broadcasting in my premisis without my knowledge , i only allow to broadcast those ssid which i made in our WLC WLAN section.

i want to block all the SSID ,hotspot's that are broadcasting in my premisis without my knowledge , i only allow to bradcast those ssid which i made in our wlc WLAN section.

That means you need to ensure that the rogue APs are in your premises.

One other little tid bit I mentioned earlier. Do NOT contain local businesses that are not a direct threat to your network. This is a direct violation of the FCC good neighbor policy. When you send deauth packets all clients attached to the rogue get those and are dropped. Not just your clients. Contain with care my friend. If the local coffee shop is a problem then set your clients to only attach to a particular list of APs by mac address. This will keep them home where they need to stay and will not get the FCC and a bunch of lawyers on your case.

yes actually i saw too many ssid broadcast in my premises that i don't want except mine due to security reasons so kindly suggest how to apply that through WLC

WE HAVE A GOVT APPROVAL FOR THIS SO I WANT ONLY MY 6 OR 7 SSID TO BE BROADCAST IN MY PREMISES KINDLY TELL THE PROCEDURE
