Access point will not join WLC right away

My Air-cap1702i access point will not join WLC right away after upgrade firmware from 153-3.JA3 to 153-3.JI5

WLC AIR-CT2504-K9 Software Version 8.0.115.0

Reason For Last Unsuccessful "Attempt Join message decode wtp ipv4 address Failed"

why did you upgrade the AP software to 153-3.JI5 ? This sofwtare is required when you have 8.8.125.0 version on WLC (which you dont have)

Downgrade the AP to : 15.3(3)JA1 (Equivalent to 8.0.115.0 on WLC)

Lightweight APs always take the software release from the WLC, or are you talking about an Autonomous one?
If you want to upgrade the software of the AP, upgrade the WLC.
