How are you?

Here is my scenario, In my home lab i am using Cisco Switch 3560G, Cisco ISR Router 800, and Cisco Access Point 3602

I have already configured VLAN 7 to the wired users on both Cisco Switch and the Router and they are connected to the Internet.

Keep in mind please, the Cisco ISR has a built-in 4 port switch and all is good.

I am confused regarding the Wireless VLANs, as you already know, the best practice is to separate the segment between different broadcast traffic.

VLAN 7 network i gave is this range: 192.168.7.0 /24

I want to create VLAN 8 and give it this range: 192.168.8.0 /24

Should i use Inter-VLAN routing? In spite of i tried the command sub-interface doesn't work on the Router.

I am thankful for all of your knowledge answers to make it work.

I am in assumption that your network looks below :

users -----Switch ----800--internnet

users--Wifi(AP) --Switch---800--internet

if this is your setup :

if not what you looking :

1. switch acting as L3 or L2

2. DHCP configured on 800 or Switch ?

3. Depends on your requirement, if you looking the users need to contact lan and wifi you can make routing avalable.

4. you need to make NAT Statement for internet both wireless (since you mentioned wired working already)
