Warehouse design requires lots of planning.

I recommend if you can doing an APOS survey when the site is nearly complete.

From a predictive side, in the Cisco AP side, i have utilized 2600/ 2700 / 3600/ 3700 / 2800 and 3800 series APs in both local and flexconnect modes.

As the APs are more than likely going to have to be mounted above 4m you will need external antennas.

Some good warehouse resources:

https://www.wlanpros.com/resources/warehouse-wi-fi-francois-verges-glenn-cate-wlpc-phoenix-2018/

Hello,

I'm taking care of a Wireless implementation project on a new Warehouse (not currently built). Its size will be around 22000 square meters. The max height of the WH ceiling will be 12 meters. There will be 28 schelves/aisles.

I'll make a simulation for Wireless Coverage Survey with Airmagnet Survey to determine which are the best locations for each APs, and the total number.

Which APs model could you recommend for this type of environnement ? I'm thinking about 3802E models but I know they have some issues if the FW code is not up to date (WLC 5520 in flexconnect)

Do you have any advices I need to take in account ? I'm already planning to use static channels and power for the WH APs, as there will be a lot of HandHeld scanners (datalogic).

Thanks by advance for your help,
