Also the issue can be with the serial to USB adapter you are using. Even though it might work on switches and routers, might not work well on AP's.

HOW TO CONFIGURE 1131AG WITH CONSOLE

Dear Community,

I am trying to change an 1131AG LWAPP to Autonomous. I have connected my console cable to the console port and with usb connected to the computer port. The access point is being powered by POE. However, i am not seeing anything on the console screen. How can i get console feed?Must the pc connection be connected with DB9 and the LWAPP powered by cable for this to work?

Thanks.

Regards,

Isaac.

Scott,

I believe i have set the 1131 to factory by pressing the mode button/reset button until the led turns red and waiting until it(cli)tells me "waiting to release button in console".However, i am prompted for password when trying to get to privileged exec mode but "Cisco" default password isn't working.I am still troubleshooting the issue anyway.I will check again my steps thoroughly in the documentation you referenced. Thanks once again.

Regards,

Glad to help. Just keep in mind that holding the mode for 10 seconds will factory reset the AP and holding it for 30 seconds will boot the AP in ROMMON mode.
