Hello,

It is tough to comment on an exact number without knowing more details about the type and layout of room, building components involved, radio distribution of clients and baseline throughput required. I would recommend 2 3702 AP's, may be three if there is an extreme requirement of any of the above mentioned parameters.

I would also suggest reducing the number of SSID's being broadcasted. Keeping it at 3 during ur events will reduce the channel utilization happening due to management traffic.

We have large event rooms in a majority of sites. During an event it really depends on what type of users are there. If our rooms have sales people, then we do see a lot of utilization due to emails, files being uploaded/downloaded and Skype IM. 35 per AP seems to work fine during those events. When it's an event that many just check emails and IM, we have seen up to 60 per AP without user experience being affected. Our smaller multi purpose rooms have a minimum or 2 AP's and we have others up to around 30 AP's. I would think that 4 AP's would be good for you, but again, it depends on what your users will be doing. We have large events that may have 1000+ users, but users are really only using it for their smartphones or tablets. Other time, 80% will be using their laptops and utilizing the wireless more.

Thanks scott . Lets assume that an online test , people listen to audio , then answer based on the audio,

Or all the users are watching some videos on youtube .

In this case what would you suggest .

Well I would look at the number of users that will taking tests. I would t worry so much about personal devices that will be in their pocket or bag. So you probably want to keep the number of users per AP to around 20. I'm assuming that they will not all be watching HD 1080p but maybe a lower resolution. The question I have to ask is why would the devices be only 2.4ghz? I'm assuming that you are supplying the users with the laptop/desktop to take the test? 5ghz is what you should try to utilize. The 2.4ghz would work okay if there are not a lot of other 2.4ghz around the area.

When I was at CDW and helping design for schools, many schools had one AP per classroom and two when there were more than 40. They would utilize google drive and also watch YouTube video.

We use the 3702's but the number of spatial streams doesn't really help my with the decision on quantity of AP's. The number of AP's is dependent on user experience. That is why it's better to plan for more if it's harder to add AP's later. Dual band clients connecting on the 2.4ghz more than the 5ghz is due to how you are optimizing your RF. The rule of thumb you will see in the forum is 25. Remember that AP placement is the key and then you can optimize the RF. If your drawing is 4 rooms, then I would say one AP in each room.

The values you have are fine. You will have enough coverage especially if you have at least one AP in each room. They are the same values we use also, but we adjust for density. How you adjust, depends on the usage of the wireless. Some sites will have a denser deployment than others because of how they use the wireless. I think you will be fine with one AP per room.

Number of access point Min(2) .......at min(-75)dBm..

Channel Overlap Max(2) at .....at min(-85)dBm..

And what is the overlap required between aps for roaming ,How we would incorporate these values in planning

Thanks

Means that there should be two AP's at a given location with at -75 or better. Then the same channel should have a separation in which the other AP on the same channel should have a signal of -85 or worse. Since your rooms are inline, you would only or should have the AP in the adjacent room for roaming.
