Hi,

1. 5500 series controller can support 700 series AP but the minimum software should be 7.5.102.0(I will recommand to use 7.6 version on wlc).

The WLC does provide seamless roaming from AP to AP, as long as the AP's are joined to the wlc, you have good coverage between AP's and your configuration on the WLC is following best practices. If you have all the above, you should not have any issues with roaming.

2. Yes, Aggressive load-balancing on the WLC allows the LAPs to load-balance wireless clients across APs in an LWAPP system.

3. Not an easy quesion to answer: Its depends on many factor:

what kind of traffic you want to use

AP model

....any many more

A general rule-of-thumb is 25~30 users per AP.

Check it more:

https://supportforums.cisco.com/document/16971/how-many-clients-can-be-connected-access-point

https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/11718356/maximum-recommended-clients-access-point

Regards

Dont forget to rate helpful posts
