Firewalling in Cisco Based Network

Hi,

I am planning to deploy Cisco Controller based WLAN network with 400+ access points. These access points will be installed at differnt remote offices.

My question is that, in this scenario what cisco recommends, if i required fully featured firewalling. Do i required an external firewall or Wireless LAN Controller is sufficient. According to my knowledge WLC provides firewalling but it is not the fully featured firewalling.

What do you exactly mean by firewalling? elaborate a bit more please.

WLC does not provide firewalling!! If you know something else please let us know what features of a firewall you think the WLC provides so we discuss that.

I would say you need an external firewall installed if you need that feature. WLC is not sufficient.

BTW, wher you want the firewall to be? in remote or central site? What type of swtiching you use? local or central?
