Why did you get it if you don't exactly know how it can be used? shouldn't you know how to use it and what is needed to be bought with it before you get it? Without a controller this box you have is unusable.

Cisco wireless controller is a hardware that runs a software image. There are many falvors and the main difference is the number of access points that can be supported.

look here: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps6302/Products_Sub_Category_Home.html

HTH

Amjad

p.s: is it 1522 or 1252? confirm please.

The WLC is enough. WCS is used for monitoring and for management. WCS is pretty useful if you have more than one WLC so you can manage and monitor all of them from one location. But if you have only one WLC then that is it. No need for WCS.

AP 1522 is supported with all WLCs.

HTH

Amjad

You want to say "Thank you"?

The AP should be able to reach the WLC. It is not necessary to connect it directly but they should be reachable to each other.

Check this config example, it should be useful for you:

http://tiny.cc/ot1mjw

HTH

Amjad

You want to say "Thank you"? Don't. Just rate the useful answers, that is more useful than "Thank you".
