Hi Yong,

You need to make sure that your LWAPP AP can get an management ip address of controller so that they can join your controller. If they are in different subnet than your managemnt interface on controller your AP need to get an ip address of management interface on controller through DHCP or via DNS or via OTAP.

Also you need to have atleast one ap-manager interface.

HTH

Ankur

we are going to deploy lwapp APs and WLC4400. My question is each lwapp is on differnt sunbet and also WLC4400 is different subnet, but these are connected L3 switch can inter VLAN routing. If these lwapp APs and WLC4400 can communicate each other, is not nesseary to configure VLAN(as add ap-manager interface) per subnet on WLC4400? Subnet is different but all same SSID. Lwapp has already static ip address.
