topic WLAN design in Wireless

I'm conteplating taking on a project to install a wlan for a 70,000 sq ft hall. The second requirement is that it will need to support a couple hundred simultaenous users. My question is, what would be the most cost effective solution for such a wlan? I was thinking using a 4100 with a few APs. What do you guys recommend. Also something that wouldn't be a pain to configure. I'm farily new to wireless on such a scale..

thank you.

Hi,

Try AP1100. It uses Lightweight Access Point Protocol (LWAPP), and can be managed by Cisco wireless LAN controllers. It's fairly easy to configure & manage. Comes with built-in antenna.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/wireless/ps4570/products_data_sheet09186a00800f9ea7.html

OR, try AP1200 Series with LWAPP image if you need to use external antenna. This model can be ordered with IOS image. Make sure the product no has 'LAP', e.g AIR-LAP1231G-x-K9.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/wireless/ps430/products_data_sheet0900aecd801b91d4.html

The no of APs will determine model of WLAN Controller to use as it goes by no of APs.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps6366/products_data_sheet0900aecd802570b0.html

Rgds,

AK
