    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;What is the AP connected to (Maybe you need a crossover cable, or your cable is defective)?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Is the AP set for "AP Mode"? If it's set to be a repeater, that will drop the Fast Ethernet port (straight repeaters don't use the Ethernet).&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Did you try doing a "no shut" on all of the included interfaces? If the fa0 or dot11radio interface is admin'd down, I think the BVI will also be down.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;(as previously suggested) Posting the configs would be good if you can do it.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Good Luck&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Scott&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;i already set an ip add, a subnet mask and a default gateway to the bvi1 interface... but it still 'down'... what is the problem? how shall i solve it?&lt;/P&gt;</description>
