Dear expert,

Just want to know whether the WLC can allow the wildcard certification on web auth. for guest portal or not.

If yes, when I upload the third party certification for guest portal auth., do I need to restart the WLC and reset the AP connection?

Thanks

Hi

Yes and Yes. After transfer, you would see the following message:

"

This might take some time.
Are you sure you want to start? (y/N) y

TFTP EAP Dev cert transfer starting.

Certificate installed.
Reboot the switch to use new certificate.

-If I helped you somehow, please, rate it as useful.-

It depends. The question is not the order though. What are you trying to accomplish? Do you have an external portal or are you using internal portal?

For external web auth you don't necessarily need to put a certificate on the wlc.
