Wireles Issue

Hi All

I have two controllers (AIR0WLC2125-K9) in my network. There i have many W LAN's created, one of the wireless LAN e.g TEST. Users connected with it.When of user disconnect from it and come again next day they can connect without any issue but once they "forget" it then they are not able connect to it.

If the issue is with only that SSID, I bet you it’s a configuration on that SSID itself. If you have both WPA and WPA2 or TKIP and AES configured, that is a problem. If your test SSID is open and this happens then it’s something else. Are all devices that connect to that SSID affected or just one? Try to isolate the issue.

I have WPA-WPA2 is enabled on that SSID (even on all SSID's and work fine).

If your test SSID is open and this happens then it’s something else.

Open you mean password? then no its not open.

Are all devices that connect to that SSID affected or just one?

All the connected devices (if they "forget"it, it wont be connect again) and if i try to connect new device, it also wont be connecting with only this SSID but who ever is connected before one week they having no issue until they disconnect and forget that SSID.

Having both WPA/WPA2 and TKIP/AES is not a good idea. This is why once they forget, it’s difficult to re-join. You really should look at WPA2/AES only. AES is supported by 802.11N/AC, WPA/TKIP is not. However, if you make this change and a device or devices have joined with WPA/TKIP then they will not connect and they would have to re-join.

What you are seeing is normal due to multiple encryption methods being broadcasted.

how come the same settings not working as it was fine before one week and all other SSID's are with same configuration and working fine. Please find attached screen short for reference.

I’m just letting you know what others have ran into. There are many posts in the forum regarding this. What I would say is to have the user manually configure the profile using WPA2/AES on their laptop and not find the SSID to just enter the password.

see i am not geting you. I dont know weather you understand my query or not.

1- All i am saying after i forget that SSID, laptop and all other wireless devices can see that SSID and asking for credentials and accepting that credentials but its not connecting.

2- If i am not going to forget that SSID on any connected laptop or any connected wireless device, it works fine even i disconnect and reconnect again and again.

So the question of WPA2/AES or any other security thing i guess not a question because on controller or end user device we haven't change anything and the screen short which i have sent there is these are the only options.

3- yes in forum there will be lot matching queries but i didn't find anything related to my query thats why i post it.

I will highly appreciate if you or any other can help me out.

I do follow you and the reason I explained what needs to be done is because of what you mentioned in #1.
Your configuration is allowing both, but in reality, the AP is sending out two different encryption’s in the beacon. So this is the issue. Your fix is to only configure for one encryption.
Test this out... create a new SSID with WPA2 AES and have that client join that SSID and then forget the network and see. You also didn’t mention what client device is affected.
