We need support because our team are complaining about the junction of WLC 5520 and AP 1832i.

If possible, you can share with us a step by step configuration guide.

WLC 5520 version 8.2.151

AP 1832i version 8.4.100

One problem I've seeing lastly is people trying to join AP 1832i running Mobility Express image in WLC.

As you may know Mobility Express is not support on Cisco WLC without conversion.

To make sure you are not on the same situation, access the Access Point using console and issue the command "show version". If you see "MOBILITY EXPRESS IMAGE" then you need to convert to capwap image.

What is the last unsuccessful attempt reason on the Monitor-> Statistics-> AP join-> AP1832?

Please share the AP logs to see whats going on.

and paste the complete bootup process from AP console.

Thanks for the info. As you can see, this AP is mobility Express. Mobility express is the new Autonomous and won't join in WLC without conversion.

As Both other Experts mentioned...you nee dto convert Mobility express APs to Lightweight AP

Here are the steps:

Step 1 Login to mobility express CLI, type in username and password

Type Ciscoapshell and give the password

Step 2 Type Enable to go to privileged execution mode.

Step 3 Enter ap#ap-type capwap and confirm to switch to the CAPWAP type.
